When I first decided to stay for a second year in Korea, I contacted a number of recruiters to help me find a job. Having already spent a year working here, I had a good idea of what I was looking for in a teaching position. The process of communicating with the recruiters was extremely frustrating at first, as it seemed like most of them were only interested in placing me as quickly as possible, rather than listening to what I was actually looking for.

 

Knowing what I know now, I wish I would have saved myself the trouble and contacted Appletree Recruiting right from the start.

 

I could tell from the first time I contacted her, that Jean genuinely had my best interests at heart. Whereas other recruiters became pushy or even downright insulting when I decided not to accept a job offer, Jean was always very understanding, and quick to find a more suitable position based on my feedback. Whenever I had a question, she made herself available and answered openly and honestly. It felt incredibly reassuring having her on my side.

 

I’ve been working at my new position for two weeks now, and I couldn’t be happier with how things are going. I feel like I actually found the perfect position, and I have Jean to thank for that. She’s been there every step of the way, and I feel comfortable knowing that I’ll be able to contact her any time in the future if I have any concerns.

 

As far as finding a job in Korea goes, I couldn’t imagine having a better experience than working with Appletree Recruiting, and I would strongly recommend them to anyone looking to teach here in the future!
