I’ve been in Korea since 2007. In that time, I’ve used several recruiting agencies with varying degrees of success. Thankfully, I’ve never had any major issues with schools I’ve worked for (i.e. getting paid correctly) but I never had as much success as I did when I used Appletree Recruiting. I heard about Appletree in 2012 and decided to send them my resume and give them a try. Since I already have 5 years experience in Korea at that time, they knew that I only wanted to work at high-quality schools. The schools they found for me to interview at were some of the best I’d ever seen. The school I chose was so great that after leaving Korea in 2013, I decided to come back and work at the same school again this year.

Appletree is the only recruiting agency I’ve seen such high quality jobs. The people working there follow-up with you throughout the year to make sure you’re satisfied with the school you’re working with and that you’re adjusting well to life in Korea. I wouldn’t suggest any other recruiting agency to anyone wanting to come teach in Korea.
